What happened to the simple baby carriage?

First comes love, then comes marriage
Then comes a baby in a baby...carriage?

What ever happened to the simple baby carriage? Here is how my poem goes:

First comes love, then comes marriage
Then comes a baby in a baby...
crib, bassinet, pack 'n play, cradle swing, travel swing, infant carrier, mega saucer, jogging stroller, travel system, umbrella stroller, mei tai, moby wrap, ring sling, front carrier, back carrier, activity gym, johnny jump-up, bouncy chair, etc, etc, etc!

Today we got the crib out of the basement and set it up in the baby's room. I am now starting to remember how much STUFF a baby "requires" now-a-days. Every room will be crowded with some sort of extra baby accessory. I'm grateful that we have so much STUFF, since we have been given most of it, but I'm also getting a little nervous and claustrophobic! :)

The count down is on and I'm getting cold feet. At least they're not swollen...

It's so true. Babies take up so much space. It's nice that you can put some of it away eventually. Don't worry. Once you have a couple of kids, any extras are a breeze. Although, the transition from 2 to 3 was the hardest for me. ☺

I hear ya! I don't remember the house or car, before it was taken over by baby stuff! And it seems like every month they need something new! (ie: high chair, walker, jumper, bigger car seat. . )

Yeah!! I am excited for your new baby. It is true babies are so little but their stuff takes up so much space.

We went away for the day last weekend and Guy said "Let's not over pack." I told him that it was impossible not to over pack since we now have 3 kids. They just need a lot of stuff everywhere they go.
